Jaimee is an experienced dog trainer who founded Mush Dog Training with a simple goal: to help dogs and their owners better understand one another through practical, personalised training.
The name "Mush" comes from Jaimee's years involved in husky racing, where she developed a deep appreciation for the unique bond between people and their dogs. That passion naturally led her into rehabilitating retired racing greyhounds, where she discovered her ability to understand and work with dogs of all breeds, ages and personalities.
Following the success of Mush Dog Training in New Zealand, Jaimee has recently relocated the business to Melbourne and is excited to continue helping Australian dog owners build happy, confident relationships with their dogs.
Jaimee believes great training is about more than teaching obedience. By understanding how each dog learns and communicates, she creates personalised training plans that are practical, achievable and tailored to each dog's individual needs. Whether you're raising a new puppy or working through behavioural challenges, her goal is to give owners the knowledge and confidence to enjoy life with their dog through personalised training that helps both dogs and their owners thrive.

Services
Whether you're welcoming a new puppy, building everyday manners or working through behavioural challenges, my training is designed to be practical, achievable and focused on creating lasting results.
Every journey begins with a personalised in-home consultation, giving me the opportunity to understand your dog's behaviour in the environment where they feel most comfortable and where many behaviours naturally occur. From there, follow-up sessions may continue at home or in other real-world environments, depending on your goals and your dog's progress.

Testimonials

We contacted Jaimee when we were contemplating getting a puppy but were unsure whether we could juggle training a puppy with three small children! She was excellent, providing us with a training plan and giving us heaps of advice on her visits. Spark is now a joy to have at home and this is due to Jaimee. I highly recommend her to anyone who will listen.

We had done the basics with our pup Maia but had a few issues around behaviour on the leash and walking, with pulling and barking at other dogs. We thought we’d just have to get used to it, but after a session with Jaimee she was a different dog. Jaimee has such a special connection with dogs and Maia was so calm around her - not to mention how incredibly patient Jaimee was with us too! She gave us some tips and tricks to keep working on and helped us embed the new behaviour in a manageable way. We love our dog walks now and are so grateful for her help. We can’t recommend her enough! Thanks Jaimee!

Jaimee has been invaluable in allowing Ciar to become the best dog and best friend to me through honing my skills as an owner. As daunting as getting a Doberman for a first dog was, I've gone from being a total beginner to feeling confident in almost any scenario with him and confidently being able to understand his needs, communication methods and psychology to provide him the best life and get the most out of our relationship as owner and pet. Her impact being involved whilst he was a puppy has helped form him into an obedient and respectful pup. I will be eternally grateful for the impact Jaimee has made for me and my best bud!
